Carbon fiber reinforced PC 3D compound

3D printing with high mechanical stability thanks to carbon fiber

With the new product 3D.mix PC CF (item no. 6619), kcd GmbH is adding a fiber reinforced 3D compound to its product range for the first time.
It is a carbon fiber reinforced, modified polycarbonate with the typical special kcd properties:

- good print bed adhesion
- high printing speed
- no heated build space required
- UV stable and weather resistant

The reinforcement with carbon fiber content also ensures high mechanical stability.

Low-temperature Microspheres Masterbatches new in the portfolio (from 80 °C)

kcd adds new low-temperature Microspheres Masterbatches to its range

kcd GmbH has succeeded in adding masterbatches of the Nouryon low-temperature microspheres 031 DU 40 & 053 DU 40 to its portfolio:

- cell.mix a45/031_40 LTC (Art. No. 4054LTC)    Starting temperature: 80 °C               maximum expansion: 120 °C

- cell.mix a45/053_40 LTC (Art. No. 4055LTC)    Starting temperature: 96 °C               maximum expansion: 138 °C

Both masterbatches are 45% concentrated on a low-melting EVA carrier system. This means that low-melting polymers can be effectively foamed at processing temperatures between 80 °C and 138 °C.

Microspheres Masterbatch for high-temperature applications

kcd is adding the new Microspheres Masterbatch cell.mix a62.5/F-260D for high-temperature applications to its range

We are very pleased that with our new product cell.mix a62.5/F-260D (Item No. 4053) we have developed a microspheres masterbatch that allows foaming of polymers in the range of 200 °C to 260 °C . These high temperatures were not possible with our previous portfolio of Microspheres masterbatches and allow numerous new areas of application in plastics that are processed at high temperatures.

All further information, as well as the technical data sheet, can be found here.

Relaunch of the kcd website

kcd Kunststoffe, Additive und Beratung GmbH has a new online presence and now offers interested parties and business partners an innovative, customer- and product-orientated website. All details of kcd's standard products can be called up directly on the website. The clearly organised product groups and intuitive filter functions make it easy to find the right products. Technical data sheets are now also generated automatically via the website and can therefore always be called up directly in the latest version.

Flame-retardant 3D compound

With '3D.mix ABS FR' (Item No. 6616), kcd GmbH has developed its first flame-retardant 3D printing compound and added it to the portfolio. The material is officially flame-retardant according to both the glow wire test according to DIN EN 60695-2-12:2022-11 and the UL 94 analog fire test (1.6 mm test specimen thickness) and therefore meets the highest demands. Development work for a flame-retardant variant of the established '3D.mix ASA' (item no. 6606) is already in full swing.
